Zarin & Steinmetz congratulates and celebrates their client Asahi Shuzo on the grand opening of their state of the art, 55,000 s.f. “Dassai Blue Sake Brewery ” in the Town of Hyde Park this past weekend. Michael Zarin and Kate (Roberts) Feinman have been working with Asahi Shuzo for the past five years to secure Town and other governmental approvals, financial benefits from the Dutchess County Industrial Development Agency, and funding from the Empire State Development Corporation through the New York Excelsior Jobs Program. Asahi Shuzo was established in 1948 in southern Japan, and the Hyde Park location represents their second brewery, the first of its kind in the United States. This weekend, Asahi Shuzo opened the doors of the $80 Million Dassai Blue Sake Brewery in the Town for its grand opening celebration. The Brewery will also be receiving recognition and an award at the upcoming Hyde Park Visual Environmental Committee awards presentation.

Dassai Blue Sake Brewery will be open for public visits on Thursdays and Fridays from 1-4pm beginning in mid-October through the company’s website. Members of the public will be able to schedule tours of the facility to learn about the sake distilling and brewing process (including the rice polishing and water treatment process), and taste and purchase their premium product.
