Representing Briarhouse LLC and its development team, David Cooper and Kate (Roberts) Feinman recently secured zoning text and map amendments, as well as concept plan approval, from the Village of Briarcliff Manor Village Board in connection with a $55 million mixed-use redevelopment project that will transform the southern gateway to the village’s downtown district.
The project will transform the Village’s property at 1050 Pleasantville Road and a portion of 1030 Pleasantville Road, with a new police station and village court, public parking, as well as a vibrant mixed-use residential and commercial development, a public plaza, and enhanced recreational trail connections. The initiative is expected to extend the village’s central business district, create new housing opportunities, and introduce several new retail establishments that will strengthen the local economy.
David and Kate worked with the development team through the Village’s RFP process and negotiation of a Land Development Agreement that lays out the framework for this eager public/private partnership. The team has worked with the Village Board, the Villages Local Development Corporation and Planning Board over the last year through the entitlement review process. The latest milestone occurred on July 22nd, when the Village Board completed the SEQRA review process by adopting a negative declaration and approving the team’s zoning petition and concept plan. The parties will now move to site plan review through the fall and early winter.
