Jacob Amir, Dan Richmond and Brian Sinsabaugh represented the firm’s client, an investor and developer, on approvals for a 144 residential unit complex, including senior housing, in the Town of Newburgh, Orange County. The project required coordinating our client’s interests with the seller, state and local agencies, existing mortgage lienors and the assignee buyer over the course of several years.
Jacob managed the real estate and financing elements of the transaction, including addressing lienor claims, effectuating a complex assignment and ensuring the proper transfer of development rights. Jacob also worked closely with Dan Richmond and Brian Sinsabaugh, who navigated the approvals process through the Planning Board, Zoning Board, and ultimately the Town Board. The team also participated in the post-closing adoption of two critical agreements required under the assignment, ensuring the client’s satisfaction of its contract obligations.
