Representing the purchasers, David Steinmetz and Jacob Amir closed on our clients’ multi-million acquisition of the Kohlberg Estate in Westchester, a 200 acre residential property with a working farm, staff residences, workshop and barn, a lake and other expansive scenic features. The transaction began with extensive negotiations toward a contract of sale with multiple riders, schedules and inclusion of farm asset allocations, a thorough analysis of multiple easements, declarations and other land records covering a nearly 100 year history, coordinating the creation of a new survey with demarcation for six separate tax lots spread over three large parcels, counseling on farm asset transfers, and facilitating a seamless closing. This was an exciting multi-faceted approach to address elements not traditionally scene in a residential real estate transaction. The firm is proud to have been part of the continued success of this noteworthy Westchester landmark.
